Facial Pain Caused By the Neck? Dysfunction in the neck is known to either cause or contribute to headaches and jaw pain. Now a recent case study finds that facial pain can have a cervical origin. In the study, a patient reported persistent facial pain that developed in conjunction with muscle stiffness in the upper neck. Once the patient received treatment to restore cervical function, their facial pain symptoms resolved. World Neurosurgery, October 2019
